The Phenomenon Of The Jade Egg – Part 1

A Tiny Tool of Transformation – Part 1

If I’ve had kids, don’t I need a bigger egg? No.

I’m a virgin, can I still use a Jade Egg? – Yes.

I have trouble with incontinence, will the Jade Egg help? – Yes.

I’m older, haven’t had sex in a long time, have vaginal dryness and no desire, will this Jade Egg thing work? – Yes.

I would like to have more orgasms and heard that having a toned vagina is important, can I get this using the Jade Egg? – Yes.

Everyday I get questions like these from women around the world who are seeking natural, empowering solutions to supporting their sexual health and deepening their pleasure.

It is natural to seek knowledge and to default to ‘google’ to finding our answers, but when it comes to our most intimate self, we would be served to use a good dose of discernment as there are many marketing ploys that are directed specifically at the very points of pain we yearn to heal for ourselves.

That said, let’s have a look more closely at this infamous Jade Egg, where did it all begin and why would we consider this as a viable option for our sensual and sexual wellbeing?

The Phenomenon of Jade Eggs

Although there are legends of Chinese empresses and concubines using the Jade Egg to remain sexually youthful, we can safely say that the Jade Egg practice is equally a modern day phenomenon.

When I was first exposed to Jade Eggs, there was a lot of mystical and poetic language that came along with it. Although it was initially lovely, it wasn’t until I had a dedicated practice that the true secrets of the Jade Egg revealed themselves.

Through taking what I learned in my own practice and sharing it with thousands of women of all ages and walks of life; I also learned what worked, what was obviously not designed for the everyday woman, and what was best left to legend.

It is this grassroots experience of working directly with women from around the globe that has revealed to me the truth of the Jade Egg practice and I have come to think of it as a tiny tool of transformation.

The Amazing Benefits Of Using A Jade Egg

The benefits of having a dedicated Jade Egg practice are numerous, ranging from the purely physical to the emotional & the spiritual (see part 2).

Why Jade? is a very common question which I have answered in one of my videos entitled: CLEARING THE CONFUSION ABOUT JADE. In essence, it’s one of our most hygienic options for having a completely natural ‘intimate tool’.

Here are 6 of the many amazing benefits we can reap from this practice:

1. Pelvic Health:

Let’s begin with what happens to our body, especially our vagina and pelvic floor when we engage in the proper use of the Jade Egg.

I say proper because there is a lot of hype about using the Jade Egg to create pelvic/vaginal tone. Yet too much practice or too much intensity focused on creating more tone can actually have the opposite of the desired affect of more ‘vaginal tightness’.

Our pelvis is part of our pleasure system and is infused with incredible pathways which can lead to exquisite orgasms and pleasure.

If we over-stress the muscles, we can actually create too much tension which can lead to atrophy and/or impede our delicate pleasure pathways and diminish or prevent us from experience our full spectrum of pleasure.

That said, one of the great physical benefits of effectively using the Jade Egg is having the tone of a healthy trampoline, which is fantastic and core to a life-time of bliss.

2. Vaginal Health:

Another benefit is that we are stimulating the localized production of estrogen. When our vagina sits unloved for prolonged periods of time, it does shut-down, thin-out, and dry-out.

By wearing the Jade Egg regularly, we give our vagina the opportunity to exercise and therefore, reestablish vitality and resilience.

And yes, this is true for women well into their 60s, 70s, & even 80s.

3. Accessing Our Pleasure Pathways:

Our pelvis & sexual organs are rich with neural pathways that can be entrained and accentuated for more and more pleasure.

The correct use of the Jade Egg enables you not only to innervate your pelvis and vagina—literally growing new nerves and therefore, expanding your pleasure potential— but it also helps you develop the somatic (physical) awareness of this subtle, yet powerful network of delight.

Our delicate, yet powerful pelvis & vagina does’t wake up through the intense over-stimulation of vibrators (in fact, this can have a numbing affect if over-used) nor from the thrusting motion of intercourse.

Waking up our ‘sleeping beauty’ requires consistent, regular infusions of conscious and un-rushed touch.

This is especially true if we have suffered from trauma to this area of our body.

4. Post-Trauma Recovery:

There is no amount of talk-therapy that can shift the tissues wherein our trauma is stored.

This is where consciously using a Jade Egg can be an effective tool both to repattern cellular memory and assist in regaining a healthy balance in our sensual tissues.

This is where the link between our sensual/sexual self and our psyche (emotions/mind) comes in and I will cover this in Part 2 of this article.

5. Birth Training & Post-Birth Recovery:

There are very few practices that teach us how to give birth. There are several Jade Egg exercises that I share which directly teach us about how to birth.

We can also use these practices post-birth to assist our pelvis, uterus, & vagina to return to a pre-birth state.

Plus, these same practices are the ones that can wake up our yoni’s (genitals) to experiencing vaginal, cervical, and uterine orgasms!

6. Sexual Mastery:

Becoming masterful with the use of the Jade Egg will translate into your sexual play with a partner.

In fact, once you have awakened your vagina in this way, you possess sexual skill that not only will delight your partner, but that will equally create more pleasure for you.

    Hello
    Please help!
I’m a virgin but suffering from incontinence. Due to past trauma I’m terrified of using the egg. I know this sounds silly but where does it go exactly? Between the lips or actually inside where the cervix is?

Sara! I can help! Thank you for asking this question. Do NOT use the egg right now. There are other practices that will support your body to relax and enter a state of receptivity. When there’s trauma, we must only move as fast as the slowest part of us. The egg, when you do use it, stays inside the vagina only. I would recommend, for you, to do my Jade Egg Mastery because it’s rich with tons of nourishing practices, anatomy, and many things you can do without using the egg. And when you’re ready to use the jade egg, then there’s support for that as well.

I just got my period way earlier than usual with my yoni egg inside me with no string attached to it! What should i do. I cant get it out. Im afraid that its gonna block my period or something bad. Is it safe? or should i push it out with force? then i mean ”FORCE” cus its pretty deep in as it can get. I dont know what to do, maybe it will eventually just glide out beacuse of the period. If its safe and the blood would come out as normal i would just keep it in. What should i do?!

I think you mean Stress Incontinence? The size I sell is based on 20+ years of research and teaching… because it’s HOW you use the Egg that really matters. Do you have my book or are part of any of my programs? I can direct you to the exercises that way.

Hi there, I must say I am intrigued about this whole egg thing. My condition is as follows: I have a dropped uterus, a big vaginal scar and rectocystocell 2nd degree – after one vagynal birth and one C-section. Could the egg improve my condition?. Thanks a lot for your feedback. Claudia

Hi Claudia, definitely getting more blood flow into the scar tissue will help, as well as the consistent self massage. Do you have any symptoms?

Do you recommend the use of jade egg in case of ovarian cysts or fibroma. Can it help or make it worst?
I have heard that detox effects can happen.
    Thank you

Ah, Anna! Yes. Here’s the deal: When we have an imbalance, our body is asking for attention and for us to come back into right relationship with her. So if we approach the Jade Egg practice with an agenda and with needing our body to ‘change’ or ‘improve’ it’s counter-productive to the healing process. If we approach this practice with the intent to deeply love and respect ourselves, then we open up to amazing insights and solutions. I would recommend going very slowing. Do you have my Jade Egg mastery course? If yes, you can ask me questions directly within the course so that I can support you on the journey.

How do you disinfect it after it’s dropped in the toilet? Mine did a week ago. I was so disgusted after getting it I just sat it in a bowl and it’s been sitting I’m terrified I won’t get it clean enough

Oh honey! Welcome to the club! I don’t know a single user that doesn’t have this happen at least once! 🙂 Did you boil it for 10 mins? In addition, you can choose to soak in a few drops of Tea Tree, Grapefruit Seed Extract or Iodine.

Hello, so after being dropped in the toilet, boiling it would be enough? Could I let it sit in alcohol? Or could I wash it with soft soap just to make sure it get some good cleaning

Hi Audreyanna, boiling for 10+ minutes is enough. You can soak in a few drops of tea tree or grapefruit seed extract and then rinse. No soaps, not great for the yoni.

Dear jade egg goddess, I just watched your video on how to prepare the jade egg. Now my question is: do we have to cook the egg each time before using it, or just once, before we use it the first time?

Hello Claudia! Wonderful question, thank you for asking. 🙂
You do not need to boil each time. You should be good just giving it a rinse and blowing through the hole, after each use. Typically, I boil if it has a mishap… like plopping into the toilet, the floor, etc. Also, if someone other than my husband touches it. Then, maybe once a month.

      Great question Claudia!

No, only the 1st time or if someone else touches it or if you drop it on the floor/in the toilet. 🙂

      Hi Lou
      Thank you for asking!
Working with the egg will not affect the placement of your IUD.

However, you need to be particularly conscious of what your yoni is telling you… if she says, more, then MORE! If she says, I’m done. LISTEN. Typically, she’ll go ahead and help the egg right on out when she’s tired of playing. Respect her wishes and you should be fine.

      Hi Rika,

Saida, I’ve been reading about cervical orgasms for the first time lately, in your work and elsewhere, and all I can think is “ouch!” I’m associating it to that horrible feeling of a Pap smear that feels like being stabbed in the cervix and wondering how in the world that could ever be an area of pleasure. Believe it or not, displaying my total ignorance about this here is an edge for me! Lol

I love that its an edge and that you are willing to share that with us Natalie!

Our cervix is a gorgeous part of us, very alive and sensuous as well, once we wake her up (I call her the sleeping beauty sometimes).

The most conscious, gentle touch wakes up the cervix and feels exquisite, but there may be a process of un-numbing or repatterning that needs to happen first.

Go slow and let your body guide you.

Am very excited to be about to start this part of my practise!
Am just curious, an icky type of question I s’pose-what happens when bleeding- do you need to re boil, or just practise in other ways?
Thanks a lot! Off to boil my egg..yay!

Very interesting article, I am waiting for part 2! I’ve been using the jade eggs for about four months and I feel healthier, more vital, and more sensual. I think that it also helps me healing wounds related with my sexuality (I am now working with a therapist, so I’m not sure if it’s just the therapeutic work or the combination with the egg ).

I live in Barcelona, Spain, so I’ll be glad if at any time you come to Europe.
    Thanks!8
